Inc. International. Below are brief descriptions of today’s current security requirements set forth by the PCI Security Council, and your Vision Payments Solution.
PCI-DSS – The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard for all credit card processing that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data. Solution – The VPS PCI DSS Resource Center is an interactive system which enables merchants to proceed at their own pace and proves the educational tools necessary to complete PCI compliance accurately, including our “Merchant Wizard”. The VPS PCI DSS Resource Center will document each individual merchant identification numbers’ (MID) compliance progress, and will store the merchant attestation for future reference. The VPS PCI DSS Resource Center will inform you which “tier” each of your individual merchant accounts are considered based on your quick questionnaire results. Typically, merchants processing less than 20,000 Visa (only) eCommerce transactions are considered tier 4 merchant accounts, and only require completion of the VPS PCI DSS Resource Centers’ online “Merchant Wizard” annually. A very small % of tier 4 merchant accounts will be required to obtain an annual site scan which is performed by an outside auditing firm to ensure compliance.
